Free FluxVFX Motion Graphics Templates on Adobe Stock
Get ready for editable Motion Graphics Templates in Premiere Pro 2018!
I recently had the honor of working with Adobe to create a set of 50 free Motion Graphics Templates (aka mogrts!) for Adobe Stock. We’re very excited about the new file format and hope you are too!
After hearing about the struggles some video producers have using After Effects I knew Mogrts would be a game changer.
Motion Graphics Templates are self-contained animations that can be exported from Adobe After Effects and opened in Premiere Pro via the Essential Graphics Panel.
No more trying to figure out Dynamic Linking, no more rendering, importing, going back and forth between both programs.
You can now edit text layers, colors, opacity, positions- anything a designer sets up controls for in After Effects- inside of the Essential Graphics Panel in Premiere. In Premiere the mogrt file is still treated as a clip so you can cut it, resize it, add effects, just like you would a footage file.
Think of the Essential Graphics Panel as a bridge – you get the animation power of After Effects inside Premiere Pro. In most cases you don’t need After Effects installed!
So what are you waiting for? Let’s get started with some free templates!
There are two ways to get Motion Graphics Templates inside Premiere Pro- download from a website and install manually or search and license directly inside the Libraries panel in Premiere Pro.
How to Download Motion Graphics Templates on Adobe Stock website:
First, check out our Portfolio here
Make sure you’re logged into your Creative Cloud Account.
Click on any free template to see the item’s details, then click the down arrow next to “License & Save to My Library”
Two options are available- Download to Computer or Save to Library.
“Download to Computer” means you’ll need to import the file in the Essential Graphics Panel in Premiere Pro.
“Save to Library (then choose your Creative Cloud library) means you can access the file immediately in Premiere Pro in the Libraries Panel, no installation required.
If you choose Save to Library:
Open Premiere Pro then go to the Libraries panel.
Select the library you saved your mogrt to on Adobe Stock then drag it to the timeline.
With the mogrt selected in the timeline, go to Window > Essential Graphics Panel.
Select the Edit tab to access the mogrt controls!
If you choose Download to Computer:
To import a mogrt file open the Essential Graphics Panel in Premiere Pro and click on the folder with arrow icon. Navigate to the mogrt file on your system and click Open.
Drag the mogrt to the timeline, then go to the Edit tab in the Essential Graphics Panel to access the controls.
How to Download Motion Graphics Templates from Adobe Stock in the Libraries panel in Premiere Pro:
In the Libraries panel, type a keyword in the search bar, for example, ‘location’. Have the ‘Templates’ check box selected to only see motion graphics templates.
Hover over the mogrt you’d like to license to see the price. Click on the Shopping cart icon to license the file.
In the pop up click OK.
Once you customize a mogrt in the Essential Graphics Panel you can duplicate the mogrt and use it again in the timleine wiht the customizations still in tact. In this dupicated mogrt you can still make furhter customizations, for example, change the name of a person in a lower third while keeping the original color changes.

We can’t wait to hear what you all think of mogrts!

Data-driven expressions are a powerful way to easily make infographics templates from spreadsheets in After Effects and export for use in Premiere Pro! I recently worked with Adobe Stock to create data-driven templates available to download *for free* here!
Creating infographic animations is easier than ever with Adobe’s new csv spreadsheet enabled data-driven motion graphics templates feature in After Effects 2019. You can create and update infographics (and really any text-based animation) from a spreadsheet in both After Effects and Premiere Pro 2019. The free data-driven motion graphics templates can be downloaded here and even more are currently in the works!
Although this animation seems simple at first (it’s just boxes moving vertically, how hard can that be?!) what’s going on behind the scenes takes a little more effort to give the animation a more realistic look without manually keyframing.
